It was a great day for kids on August 31, 2016. Derek Jeter came to Kalamazoo, Michigan to show kids how important it is to get outside and be active. At the Kalamazoo Expo Center Nickelodeon came to celebrate Derek’s Day of Play. Sliming two Jeter’s Leader’s volunteers and the Mayor Bobby Hopewell of Kalamazoo. Derek’s mother Dorothy Jeter was there to alongside Derek to receive a $10,000 donation from Nickelodeon to Derek Jeter’s non-profit Organization Jeter’s Leader’s.
After all of the excitement and receiving the donation Derek and his family along with his wife. Walked around to each activity and even slimed a few kids!
It was a beautiful day for everyone and an especially great day to be a kid!!!!
