Motivational Monday’s

robin-hood-sayings

Some motivation for your Monday morning.  Please feel free to share this to brighten someone else’s Monday morning.  Keep your head up!

To be honest most of the time I have inspirational sayings all over the house.  I need sayings like this to inspire what’s deep within.  When I look at sayings from people that I feel are great, to see what inspired them.  It just inspires me as well.  To know that great people before me needed inspiration as well.  It amazes me how brilliant people can be when it comes to finding the inspiration they need.

I know personally, Monday’s have a tendency to be rough in my household.  We have a hard time adjusting back to the weekly schedule.  We do our best to try and keep the weekend schedule the same as during the week.  However, that’s just not always the case. I started doing ‘Motivational Monday’s’ because sometimes you just need a little extra boost.  I hope that the motivational sayings help you as well!!

Since I needed a consistent posting.  My goal is to have something for everyday.

Motivational Mondays-I plan on posting motivational sayings every Monday to keep myself and others moving.

Tips for Tuesday- I plan to post a video of some tip that I found helpful.  It will be a tip about anything.  Just something that I found helpful

Wordy Wednesday- I plan to post just words on Wednesday.  Just an update of what is going on.

Throwback Thursday- I plan to post photos of my previous clients on Thursdays.

Fun Friday- I plan to post something fun, funny, fun-ish.  I know that my sense of humor may be different than yours.  I hope you like what ever it is that I post anyway.

I hope this brightens your day and makes Monday less Monday-ish!

Please enjoy and feel free to contact me at any time!!!

Bianca Birthday City Photo Session

A very happy birthday to this beautiful soul!  Bianca and I met just recently during one of my crazy idea sessions.  It has been an honor knowing her, even though it has been such a short time.

I was absolutely honored when she asked me to do her birthday photo shoot.  I have never actually done one of these but have really wanted to!  Today she turns 25 years old.  A very monumental moment for her, honestly,  for anyone that turns 25.  This is when things change.  I personally believe that age 25 is the start of your life.  This is where you have made your mistakes, made your successes and most of the time know the direction you want your life to go.

There are some of us that take a little longer.  However, for me 25 was a huge deal.  It felt like this was where my life had lead me to and it was up to me to ignite the fire within to give me the fight.

It was extremely coincidental that Bianca and I actually went to the same community college.  Well, back then it was a Community College, now it’s just a College.  Jackson College.  When I was in school there, they were building dorm rooms for future students to receive the University experience with the Community College cost. Great idea!  Bianca, was actually there the first year they opened the dorm rooms.  I had already been gone a year and was graduating.  It’s crazy where this world can lead us, and one thing I know is absolutely a must.  You must celebrate the day you came into this world.  You must enjoy every birthday you have!  It’s an absolute must to do so.  Birthdays only happen once a year.  Celebrate that day like no other.  Love it when it comes and rejoice it while it’s here.

John Michael is Senior!!!

sarah-garcez-19-of-80

It’s not everyday you are a Senior in High School!  I’ve known John Michael and his family for about 5 years now.  (Hard to believe it’s already been that long).  So, that means John Michael was in eighth grade when I met him.  Absolutely Crazy!

He was so much fun!  I am so glad I was able to capture this moment for him.  John Michael was a little nervous at the beginning.  And, most boys are.  They’re never sure what to expect when it comes to senior photo session.  Most of the time it’s the first time they have ever had their photos professionally taken.  And just like everyone the first 20 or so minutes are the hardest.  After that everything was great, he was relaxed and I’m pretty sure he had fun as well!!!

John Michael was great!  He told me a story of how him and his family were on vacation and it started to rain.  They had an umbrella big enough for everyone….  But him!  And every store they stopped in were all out of more umbrellas.  So, one of the store managers made him a poncho out of a garbage bag.  I thought it was super funny, and he laughed enough for me to capture an amazing smile!

John Michael is one of the nicest young men I have ever met.  He is super artistic and loves to sketch all the time.  In fact we incorporated his love of sketching in his photo session.  I really try to incorporate their personality in the photos.  It was easy for me to capture John Michael.  He was a natural in front of the camera.

There are great things ahead for John Michael, with his heart and mind.  He can accomplish anything!!!

Maria Keller and Family

I met Maria through the Kalamazoo Strong Silent Auction.  It was an honor to meet her and lovely daughters!  The day started off with rain.  We thought for sure it was going to be a gloomy nasty day and it ended up being beautiful.  The weather was absolutely perfect for a family photo session.

It’s not everyday you get to treat yourself and your family to photo session.  It’s times like these that I cherish the most.  Watching mother and daughters interact.  There are lot of times that kids don’t want to be a part of the photo session and find it super annoying to be there.  It was a joy to be with these two beautiful young ladies.  They were easy to photograph, extremely polite and very loving towards their mother. Something I can greatly appreciate having a daughter myself.

One of my favorite times during a photo session is when I take a step back and just watch the clients interact.  That’s what happened in the above photo.  They sat down on the steps and I told them to just relax while I photographed them sitting there.   I love how it turned out!

It’s also not everyday you get 3 ladies as photogenic as these three were!

It was so cute.  Towards the end of the session I was asked how old I thought the daughters were.  I said 13 and 11.  I was pretty close because I was off by one year with the youngest daughter!

Maria and her daughters were an absolute joy to photograph.  I had so much fun and am so glad we were all able to meet!  Maria, is so patient and kind with her girls.  When she looks at them you can truly see the love a mother has for her children!

Kelly Family Photoshoot!

It’s so amazing when someone is expecting a baby!  I absolutely LOVE pregnant women.  However, I was once pregnant (3 times over) in fact.  And, I know how it can get uncomfortable you want your body back, and want to move.  So, I keep my hands to myself.  I don’t touch other peoples belly’s.  Reason being.  I get all personal and in ‘yo business’ during a photo shoot.  I don’t want to push my limits on groping a belly as well.

We had to break this session up into 2 sessions.  We first did a pregnancy announcement/gender reveal.  Revealing this sweet mama is expecting a baby boy to go along with her already two daughters!  We had so much fun.

The funniest part about the second photo session was the fact that it rained.  No, it DOWNPOURED!  We had to get their photos taken in ten minutes flat and the rain came.  We were able to get the photos done so I was super relieved.  We finally had all the daughters and mom together, looking super cute and the weather decided to not cooperate!

I was just excited to capture beautiful moments like this!  It’s not everyday you have a baby, or have the ability to carry a child.  These moments past so fast, it’s always amazing when you can stop for a moment and enjoy the time you have.

I want to say thank you to this lovely lady, for letting me capture her beautiful moment.  She also participated in a movement I am trying to put together.  Kelly is such a lovely person, if you don’t know her you are missing out!  She lights up the room when she walks in, and has such gentle soul.  She’s not only a great mom, she’s an awesome friend!  And an amazing Zumba instructor!
